Comics Forge Presents SunnySunny by Zelda Wang Comics Forge Presents

And last night our first publication went live on Amazon, you can download and read it right here on Amazon Kindle or via the Kindle Store on ITunes or B&N’s nook system, it is all there ready for you to take a look at and let Zelda know you love it.

This is one of the early books we bought about 2 years ago, and are just getting online. This has been far too long as it was originally going to debut at Akicon 2012. A short synopsis of the comic book is here:

When Sunny was little girl (8), she visited Delphi, Greece, with his archaeologist father one summer. She became fascinated by the temple and believed Apollo was there watching over her. There she met a boy and they became close friends. The boy gave her a necklace with a sun charm as a parting gift and asked Sunny to remember him and promised to meet again. Sunny grew up (18) and forgot. As her high school graduation approaches, she tries to befriend/confess to a popular guy at school named Apollo, but fails just like she’s been doing for the past four years of school. Sunny found the sun necklace at home, although she couldn’t remember how she got it, she felt the necklace was important and perhaps had mysterious powers of the Sun God she worshiped.

Sunny went to school the next day and couldn’t believe Apollo actually came to talk to her about the necklace and revealed he was that boy at Delphi. Sunny was overwhelmed by the sudden change of events. Later she found out that Apollo was really the Sun God Apollo, and was taken on a trip to visit her lost memory. The truth was, that boy at Delphi was a mortal named Apollo, who was deeply ill and didn’t have much longer to live. Sun God Apollo meddled with Sunny’s memory because he didn’t want to see the pretty little girl who was faithful to become heart broken and lose her bright smile. The Sun God learned through Sunny that mortals treasure all kinds of memories, regardless of them being happy or sad. Sunny told him that memories were the proof that one lived. Sun God Apollo felt sorry for taking away the precious memories and made up to her by giving her another chance at creating those precious memories.

Sunny was at school again trying to befriend/confess to a guy named Apollo, this time Apollo noticed the necklace and came dashing to her excitedly and asked if her name was Sunny. He was the boy at Delphi and thought it was an amazing coincidence that he met her again. Apollo confessed and thanked Sunny for giving him the courage to face a surgery as a kid. He went and received the surgery after parting with little Sunny 10 year ago. He was going to visit Delphi again and asked if Sunny would go with him. Sunny had been thinking of going to visit her father anyway, so they went. At Delphi, Sunny prayed to Apollo and said “Thank you”. The Sun God Apollo smiled.
